Christian Diaz was elected in 2015 to the Mountain View School District Board of Education. Mr. Diaz is the youngest of five siblings, born to hard-working parents who emigrated from Mexico in the pursuit of a better future for their children. Mr. Diaz has been a resident of El Monte since birth and has grown up witnessing the many challenges, development and opportunities the community has faced within the last several years. 

Mr. Diaz is a product of the Mountain View School District and earned his high school diploma from Mountain View High School. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology, with a minor in Chicano/a Studies.  He then pursued his Juris Doctorate and a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Southern California and is currently working at Huntington Health, an Affiliate of Cedars Sinai, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. 

Mr. Diaz has served on various community organizations in the past and currently serves as a Board Chair for Hope House for the Multiple-Handicapped, Inc. in the city of El Monte. Mr. Diaz believes in the value of building relationships and is committed to provide opportunities such as the one’s he had and more for the students in our community.
