Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Program

The Mountain View School GATE Program is designed to meet the GATE student’s need as well as to exceed state standards. It is offered at all the sites in the regular classroom with a specific GATE classroom plan to differentiate curriculum.

Each of the classroom’s plans identifies objectives, implementation strategies, and identifies how it will be monitored and evaluates the plan. The program elements include opportunities to differentiate through acceleration, depth, novelty and complexity. It also cultivates the students’ sensitivity and responsibility, ethical standards, problem solving, and self concept.

If you have any questions in regards to the GATE program, please call Dolores Haro at the GATE Office at 626-652-4158.
