Measure SS, Mountain View School District’s $57.0 million general obligation (G.O.) bond program continues to address the needs of the District's student population through modernization and renovation projects at schools throughout the District.
Currently, a variety of summer Measure SS Bond projects are underway at Maxson, Miramonte, Cogswell and Payne Schools. The summer work includes underground utilities replacement at Maxson and Miramonte Schools, exterior painting at Payne and Cogswell Schools, finish work at the Mt. View Family Center and the installation of new fire alarms at Baker, Cogswell, Miramonte and Payne Schools. The campuses at Maxson, Miramonte, Cogswell, Payne and the Family Center will remain closed through the summer due to the construction taking place.
For the past two years Measure SS Bond money has funded projects including an underground utilities project at Payne School in the summer 2017 where extensive underground infrastructure improvements were made including the installation of new water, electrical and gas lines and a new catch basin in the field for water runoff. In the summer of 2018, Measure SS funded underground utilities replacement at Baker School, roofing repair/replacement at both Miramonte and Voorhis Schools, construction at the Mountain View Family Center and Phase II of the HVAC Replacement Project. Additionally, new fencing was installed at several schools.
MVSD appreciates the support of the community in passing Measure SS which is providing funding to enhance the school campuses and educational environment for students.
