Textbooks and Resources Distributed to Students

Textbooks and Resources Distributed to Students

MVSD’s 12 schools and preschool program distributed textbooks, resource materials and school supplies to students to use at home for Distance Learning.  Devices were also distributed to students who needed them.  The distribution days were scheduled by appointment to ensure safety for everyone.

Thanks to a generous donation from NBA super star, Kawhi Leonard, the LA Clippers Foundation and Baby2Baby, every student, Kindergarten through 8th grade in the District received a new Los Angeles Clippers backpack.

While practicing Department of Public Health safety protocols, the students and staff members were very excited to see each other during the school site distributions.

“We appreciate the perseverance, patience and dedication of our students, families and staff as we embark on this school year in a distance learning format,” said Lillian Maldonado French, Superintendent.  “Our goal is to do the very best we can to support our students in these challenging times and we know we are stronger together.”
