The Mountain View School District Board of Education and Superintendent, Dr. Raymond Andry recently honored El Monte resident, Robert Bravo with the District’s Mountaineer Award for his 15 plus years of generosity and support to the students and families of Payne School and the Mountain View School District.

Bravo and his family have organized many toy-drives over the years and they have donated toys, clothing, shoes and food.  During the pandemic they supported Payne School in making the holidays brighter for students by providing toys and a turkey dinner for 58 families.

A former Kranz Intermediate School student, Bravo also attended El Monte High School and has had great success rallying many El Monte High School alumni, as well as community members together for the toy drives to benefit El Monte’s children.

“We are honored to recognize Mr. Bravo with our highest award, the Mountaineer Award,” said Dr. Andry.  “Mr. Bravo’s kindness and community outreach have made a tremendous impact on our students and families, as well as the entire El Monte community.  His heart for service is commendable and his actions continue to positively influence our students and their educational path, and for that we are extremely grateful.”
