I am honored to be the new Superintendent of the Mountain View School District and continuing to serve the students, staff, families and community in my new role. Over the past 12 years, Mountain View has become a second home for me and I look forward to working with our dedicated Board of Education, administrators, teachers, classified and support staff as we continue to follow our District’s mission of inspiring each student to succeed every day, and provide outstanding instruction, programs and support for our students and families.
Throughout the continuing challenges of the pandemic, MVSD remains committed to ensuring our school communities are healthy and connected, and all students are receiving quality instruction and social emotional support that meets their needs. Our exceptional educators, support staff and students continue to display great flexibility, resilience and perseverance through the adversity brought on by the pandemic. Whether instruction takes place in-person on campus, virtually through distance learning, or a combination of both, students are provided with the curriculum, programs and leadership that inspires them to be lifelong learners.
MVSD is committed to the development of the whole child which is supported through programs like STEAM, Project Lead the Way, AVID, Sobrato Early Academic Language (SEAL), extensive technology learning including in school 1:1 technology devices, Spanish Dual Language Immersion program, Mandarin Enrichment Program, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), comprehensive Visual and Performing Arts, a strong college and career-bound culture, nationally recognized nutrition and health education, nationally recognized family engagement program and a Golden Bell award-winning Parent Leadership Academy.
Through positive collaboration our dedicated team educates each student at the highest level, as we strive to make a positive difference in the life of each student entrusted to us.
