Kranz Intermediate Holds Action Team Rally

Kranz Intermediate Holds Action Team Rally

The ROAR of the Kranz Intermediate School Cougars was heard loud and proud as students and staff participated in the school’s first Action Team Rally of the school year. Four Action Teams, distinguished by a color were formed from students from both 7th and 8th grade, as well as staff members. Clad in their team colored T-shirts with ROAR (Respect, Organized, Always positive, and Responsible) proudly displayed on the back, the Turquoise Team, Red Team, Orange Team and Purple Team gathered in the quad for some friendly competition.

“We are excited to kick off our Action Teams and it’s great to look out and see the colors of our dynamic teams,” said Sean Grycel, Kranz principal.  “We ROAR as cougars and we want the school and community to know it.”

Over the course of the school year the teams will be competing for prizes in contests ranging from the best attendance, the highest GPA, and fun lunchtime games and activities.  Every Thursday is Action Team Day at Kranz and everyone is encouraged to wear their Action Team t-shirt to earn points for their team.  For the first contest the teams will be vying for the best attendance over the next month.

“Our Action Teams are all about team building and pushing each other to be the best,” said Grycel.  “Our teams may be designated by different colors, but we are all still one big Kranz family.”

The rally ended with the teams joining together to yell the Cougar Chant.
