Superintendent's Message

I am extremely proud to be the Superintendent of the Mountain View School District and to work with such a dedicated school board and an exceptional group of teachers, classified and confidential staff members, administrators and parents to make a significant impact on the students we serve.
My vision for the Mountain View School District includes the belief that all students should be provided a well rounded education that emphasizes the skills to read, write, compute and access technology appropriately and effectively. Students should be taught how to be responsible citizens who make positive contributions within their community.
Mountain View is comprised of an excellent team dedicated to providing a quality education for each of the 9,300 students it serves. Driven by the Districts ultimate goal of improved student achievement, students are consistently challenged by the highest of expectations in learning environments that will prepare them well for their current and future educational endeavors. Through an accountability system with a performance based framework for nurturing and sustaining exemplary schools and high levels of student achievement, MVSD is committed to providing a well-balanced, quality education to all students.
Teamwork is the key at Mountain View where employees, parents, business and community members actively participate in the educational development of the students.
